Do you put steel in concrete?
Yes, to ensure strength and integrity steel reinforcement mesh is placed in all concrete products supplied.
How thick is the concrete?
No less than 100 mm is standard for residential concrete.
Can you put new concrete over existing concrete?
It depends, we need to conduct an onsite inspection to see whether the existing concrete is in good condition and whether we will have enough room to lay another layer of concrete on top.
What do you charge?
It depends on the type concrete, the size of the job, preparation requirements, every job varies.
How long does the concrete last?
Concrete is a durable material and when a slab poured to standards it should last for many years. However, factors like natural movement of the earth and constant changes in temperature can make the concrete crack, no matter how thick or how strong the slab may be. Concrete surfaces also wear over time due to constant use and even moisture and water can slowly deteriorate the strength of the concrete and its surface over long periods of time.
